The largest hall in West Africa was raided at around 2am on Friday 12th July, 2019 by suspected armed robbers who got access into the hall by scaling through the almost nonexistent fence of the wall.

According to news report from Awo Hall Press Organization, occupants of B and C blocks which happen to be the finalists block of the hall were affected, particularly those on the middle and ground floor. It was reported that these robbers were armed with both guns and other arms like cutlasses. It is heartbroken that some girls admitted to have heard them recite some Incantations while operating this devilish task of theirs.

Sadly, men of the University Security Service (Abefele) only arrived after the armed robbers had fled the hall carting away with numerous numbers of laptops, phones, money, ATM cards and other gadgets belonging to students of the hall of resident.

The report said that one of the security men of the hall was tired after being manhandled to a chair. In addition to this, the report also said some of the ladies were stabbed and had to be sent to the University Health Service (Jaja Clinic) for treatment.

This is the second time in two years that such incidence would make the news aside many other robbery cases that had happened over the last two years.
