The long awaited swearing-in ceremony of the the National Association of Political Science Students, U.I chapter finally took place on Friday, 12th July 2019 at the Head of Department office.

The ceremony was graced by the outgoing president, Alonge Mary, the senate president, members of the press, fellow NAPPSites and well-wishers from DLC.

Having satisfied the requirements of the constitution, Professor Remi Aiyede acting on behalf of the HOD, Professor Isomonah, swore in the newly elected executives; Thomas Ajayi as President, Habeeb Abiodun Akehushekisa as Vice President, Olayinka Elizabeth Makinde as General Secretary, Azeez Olawale Yekeen as Public Relations Officer, Hope Obadiegwu as Treasurer, Timilehin Aikore as Financial Secretary, Kuram Emmanuel Manasoko as Sport Director and Femi Ikotun as Assistant General Secretary. The outgoing president, Miss Mary Alonge as well as the newly elected President, Mr Thomas Ajayi both gave their valedictory speech and welcome address respectively.
